The building is located within the sixteenth century walls of Castel d’Aviano; built in the early nineteenth century with stone and enlarged in the ‘60s, it was really damaged and needed a restoration.

The house is characterized by thick stone walls seen that the wall north-east coincides with the old walls of the castle. It proceeded to the elimination of all the additions to achieve a simple and pure volume. Roof and foundations were completely reconstructed, and the exterior walls were covered with thermal insulation. For the interior has been used a few materials: wood, plaster and kerlite’ stone, are characterized by neutral and warm colors like the elm is used for parquet for furniture that make up the house. All elements are custom-designed, from the kitchen with Corian top, cabinets distributed over the three floors of the house. The result is a building with a perfect harmony with the environment.

La casa è caratterizzata da muri in pietra spessi visto che il muro nord-est coincide con le antiche mura del castello. Si é proceduto all’eliminazione di tutte le superfetazioni per ottenere un volume semplice e puro. Il tetto e le fondazioni sono stati completamente ricostruiti e le pareti esterne sono state coperte con isolamento termico.

Per l’interno sono stati utilizzati vari materiali: legno, intonaco e pietra kerlite, caratterizzati da colori neutri e caldi come l’olmo utilizzato per il parquet e per i mobili che compongono la casa. Tutti gli elementi sono progettati su misura, dalla cucina con piano in Corian, gli armadi distribuiti sui tre piani della casa. Il risultato è un edificio con una perfetta armonia con l’ambiente.
